Re Wakim; ex parte McNally (1999) 198 CLR 511

This case considered the issue of cross vesting of legislation and whether or not the States could invest federal jurisdiction in federal courts with regards to state matters that were not specifically a power under the Constitution.  In other words it was an attempt to vest state judicial power in a federal court.
