Central London Property Trust Ltd v High Trees House Ltd [1947] 1 KB 130

This case considered the issue of estoppel and whether or not a promise by an owner of a building to reduce the rent to his tenant displayed an intention to be legally bound.  In addition the court was required to determine the scope of this promise.  This case was significant in the development of the principle of promissory estoppel.
