Kable v Director of Public Prosecutions NSW (1996) 189 CLR 51
This case considered the judicial power of the Commonwealth and whether or not a State court was exercising powers that were inconsistent with the judicial power assigned to it. The other issue was whether this law infringed the doctrine of separation of powers and whether there was an overlap of judicial and legislative powers.
